In order to eradicate wasps without using toxic poisons,  use 91% isopropyl alcohol.  I buy this at Walgreens and put it into a spray bottle.  We keep several handy all around the house & kennel.  If possible to wait, I will watch the wasps fly into probably nesting sites and then go out early morning while they are still inactive and saturate the nest and all occupants with the 91% alcohol.  Since it is NOT “Raid” it doesn’t kill instantly on contact, so I try not to get into a war with active flying wasps.  This time of year they are everywhere, garden ornaments, chain link posts, under decks, do houses, even in the mirror on my truck!  Watch them then go out and get them!
